The association was established in May 1990 based on the recommendations of the Permanent Committee for the Desertification Control Program adopted by the Arab League A voluntary non-governmental association specialized in preparing studies and research related to the phenomenon of desertification and proposing solutions to address it. Engages in cultural and media awareness programs and actively contributes to the development of rural areas through the implementation of various projects. The association is licensed by the Ministry of Social Development / Associations Register, holds a national number, and falls under the umbrella of the Ministry of Environment as a specialized ministry.
